villin 1(VIL1) Homo sapiens. This gene encodes a member of a family of calcium-regulated actin-binding proteins. This protein represents a dominant part of the brush border cytoskeleton which functions in the capping, severing, and bundling of actin filaments. Two mRNAs of 2.7 kb and 3.5 kb have been observed; they result from utilization of alternate poly-adenylation signals present in the terminal exon. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008],

Specificity
This antibody detects endogenous levels of human Villin. Heat-induced epitope retrieval (HIER) TRIS-EDTA of pH8.0 was highly recommended as antigen repair method in paraffin section
Formulation
Liquid in PBS containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide.
Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded Colon. 1. Antibody was diluted at 1:200(4° overnight). 2. TRIS-EDTA of pH8.0 was used for antigen retrieval. 3.Secondary antibody was diluted at 1:200(room temperature. 30min).
