keratin 18(KRT18)Homo sapiens. KRT18 encodes the type I intermediate filament chain keratin 18. Keratin 18, together with its filament partner keratin 8, are perhaps the most commonly found members of the intermediate filament gene family. They are expressed in single layer epithelial tissues of the body. Mutations in this gene have been linked to cryptogenic cirrhosis. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008],

Synthesized peptide derived from human Cytokeratin 18
Specificity
This antibody detects endogenous levels of human Cytokeratin 18. Heat-induced epitope retrieval (HIER) TRIS-EDTA of pH8.0 was highly recommended as antigen repair method in paraffin section
Formulation
Liquid in PBS containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide.
Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded Hepatocellular carcinoma. 1. Antibody was diluted at 1:200(4° overnight). 2. TRIS-EDTA of pH8.0 was used for antigen retrieval. 3.Secondary antibody was diluted at 1:200(room temperature. 30min).
