CD141 is a 75 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein expressed in many normal tissues, such as arterial and venous endothelial cells and mesothelial cells. CD141 is not expressed in liver adenocarcinoma. CD141 protein is a sensitive marker of lymphatic endothelial cells and their tumors. It can be used to distinguish lung adenocarcinoma from malignant mesothelioma.
