This product is a recombinantly expressed DNase I (Deoxyribonuclease I), known in Chinese as deoxyribonuclease I. It is an endodeoxyribonuclease that can digest single-stranded or double-stranded DNA by recognizing and cleaving phosphodiester bonds, producing monodeoxynucleotides or single-stranded or double-stranded oligodeoxynucleotides with a phosphate group at the 5' end and a hydroxyl group at the 3' end. The activity of DNase I is dependent on Ca²⁺ and can be activated by divalent metal ions such as Mg²⁺ and Mn²⁺. In the presence of Mg²⁺, the enzyme randomly recognizes and cleaves any site on either strand of double-stranded DNA. In contrast, when Mn²⁺ is present, it recognizes and cleave almost identical sites on both strands of DNA, resulting in DNA fragments with either blunt ends or cohesive ends protruding by 1 to 2 nucleotides. This product is supplied in lyophilized powder form, which is more conducive to transportation and storage. However, once dissolved into solution, it should be stored at -20°C for long-term preservation.
