Confocal imaging of L-929 cells using CPT1C Rabbit mAb (M0168, dilution 1:200) followed by a further incubation with Cy3 Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) (SA1138, dilution 1:500) (Red).The cells were counterstained with α-Tubulin Mouse mAb (W0051, dilution 1:400) followed by incubation with 488-conjugated Goat anti-Mouse IgG (H+L) (SA0662, dilution 1:500) (Green).DAPI was used for nuclear staining (Blue).Objective: 100x.

This gene encodes a member of the carnitine/choline acetyltransferase family. The encoded protein regulates the beta-oxidation and transport of long-chain fatty acids into mitochondria, and may play a role in the regulation of feeding behavior and whole-body energy homeostasis. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple protein isoforms have been observed for this gene.
