This gene encodes a member of the family of non-receptor type Tyr protein kinases. This protein is widely expressed in hematopoietic cells and is involved in coupling activated immunoreceptors to downstream signaling events that mediate diverse cellular responses, including proliferation, differentiation, and phagocytosis. It is thought to be a modulator of epithelial cell growth and a potential tumour suppressor in human breast carcinomas. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2010]

The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen.
Western blot analysis of lysates from 1) 3T3, 2) HT29, 3) HepG2 cells, (Green) primary antibody was diluted at 1:1000, 4°over night, secondary antibody(cat:SA0439)was diluted at 1:10000, 37° 1hour. (Red) Actin β Monoclonal Antibody(5B7) (cat:N1292) antibody was diluted at 1:5000 as loading control, 4° over night,secondary antibody(cat:SA0436)was diluted at 1:10000, 37° 1hour.
Western blot analysis of lysates from COS7 cells treated with EGF 200ng/ml 30', using SYK (Phospho-Tyr348) Antibody. The lane on the right is blocked with the phospho peptide.
Immunohistochemistry analysis of paraffin-embedded human breast carcinoma, using SYK (Phospho-Tyr348) Antibody. The picture on the right is blocked with the phospho peptide.
Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (Phospho-ELISA) for Immunogen Phosphopeptide (Phospho-left) and Non-Phosphopeptide (Phospho-right), using SYK (Phospho-Tyr348) Antibody
Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded Human lung cancer. Antibody was diluted at 1:100(4° overnight). High-pressure and temperature Tris-EDTA,pH8.0 was used for antigen retrieval. Negetive contrl (right) obtaned from antibody was pre-absorbed by immunogen peptide.
