Description

Calponin-1 is a calcium regulatory protein that binds tropomyosin and F-actin. It is a specific protein of smooth muscle cells and has the function of inhibiting the contraction of smooth muscle cells. It is expressed in smooth muscle and myoepithelial cells, as well as myofibroblasts. It is mainly used to study the distribution of myoepithelial cells in smooth muscle tumors and breast tissues.

Specificity

The antibody can specifically recognize human and mouse calponin-1 protein. In western blotting of Hela, LnCap and mouse muscle lysates, the antibody can label a 34 kDa band corresponding to calponin-1.

Formulation

The antibody is provided in liquid form in phosphate - buffered saline with 50% glycerol, 0.05% BSA, and 0.05% Proclin 300.
