Description

CD5 is a 67 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on the surface of T cells, and its intensity increases with the maturation of T cells. CD5 is also expressed in B cells in normal human peripheral blood and lymph node mantle cells. CD5 is detected in most T-cell lymphomas and leukaemias. It is mainly used for the auxiliary diagnosis of T-cell leukemia and T-cell lymphoma. It can also be used to distinguish thymic cancer from other adenocarcinoma.

Specificity

The antibody can specifically recognize human CD5 protein. In western blotting of Jurkat cell lysate, the antibody can label a 55 kDa band corresponding to CD5.

The antibody is provided in liquid form in phosphate - buffered saline with 50% glycerol, 0.05% BSA, and 0.05% Proclin 300.
